The U.S vs. Canada

Just a brief entry today. Every time I hear the U.S. attacking Canada yet again – supposedly “responding” to what we have done – it sounds something like this in my mind. It gets more and more bizarre as it goes on.

U.S.: I’m going to punch you in the mouth, but it’s okay, because it makes me feel better and I’m punching everyone else, too. <Punches Canada>

Canada: <Punches back>

U.S.: Hey! You hit me! You can’t do that!

Canada: You hit me first.

U.S.: That didn’t count. You hit me, so I have to hit back. <Punches harder>

Canada: <Punches back, also harder>

U.S.: Stop that!! I hit everyone. No one else hits back. Now I have to hit you again, and no punching back this time! <Another punch>

Canada: If you keep hitting me, I’m going to keep hitting back <Also another punch>

U.S.: That’s just wrong! I made the rules, and I said no hitting back. <Throws a series of punches>

(This is where it stands. Can you guess what will happen next??)
